Welcome to my blog!! Weight loss has been on my mind for a while now, but having had the year from hell in 2011, it wasn't high on the priority list. But 2012 is a new year, and I'm ready to introduce a new me :)
I got the idea of doing a blog when I came across this challenge 2012 Spring Chick Challenge. It looked like a great way of having some accountability, and also some support from people in the same place as me. Often I find it easier to be more honest and open with my internet friends compared to my 'real life' friends, so I thought I should use that to my advantage.
The challenge officially starts on 2nd January, but in the mean time here are my focus points:
1) Commit to a NSV (non scale victory) to be assessed at the start and the conclusion of the challenge.
* lose atleast 20cms from all over my body.
* be able to run for 7km's non-stop.
(I will post current cm's and current run distance on the 2nd Jan)
2) Commit to a set of nutrition parameters:
* I will be tracking my nutrition through weight watchers, therefore I will be sticking to my 29 point daily limit.
* Drink atleast 1.5 litres of water daily
3) Commit to a set of exercise parameters:
* Run atleast 3 times a week
* Exercise atleast 2 other times a week (swimming, gym etc)
4) Commit to blogging:
* I will blog atleast twice a week
* One of those updates will be with new stats regarding my focus points.
Anyone else out there that wants some increased motivation, I urge you to have a look at the challenge :)
I'm looking forward to the new challenge of health I have put in front of me, and would love all the support and advice you are willing to give!
